Dear friend,
Welcome to East End Baptist Church. If you’re looking for a church family where Jesus is treasured, the Bible is preached, prayer is practiced, and the Gospel is shared—there’s a place for you here.
We are a body of believers following the Lord Jesus Christ on a joyful Journey of Faith. And we’re asking God to use East End as a true “Global Mission Center”—starting right here in Marion, Virginia, and reaching to the nations for His glory. Our goals are simple, but we know only God can empower what He calls us to do:
- To God be the glory in everything He leads us to do.
- To fulfill His purpose for our church with faithfulness and courage.
- To expand His Kingdom—from Marion to the world.
A Church That Prays…Then Goes
One of the ways we live this out is through our Weekly Victorious Breakthrough Prayer Guide. We use it to prepare our hearts for worship—and to step into the world on mission with Jesus. Each week, we pray:
- For people to experience a fresh encounter with Jesus Christ—that His presence would fill our church.
- For God’s Word to be spoken with clarity, and for His truth to be understood and received.
- For the Holy Spirit to move in power—transforming lives and shaping us into a more missional people.
- For complete surrender to the will of God.
- For forgiveness of sin and clean hearts that honor Christ.
- For people to respond to God’s Word with faith and obedience.
- For revival and spiritual awakening to begin with us—so that others can truly say, “See what God is doing!”
- For divine opportunities for Gospel conversations, and for God to lead us to those who need prayer, hope, and Jesus.
Our Heart for Life-Change
We’ve prayed boldly for God to allow us in a way that changes the world one person, one family, one community at a time. This isn’t about chasing numbers—it’s about staying intentional and mission-focused, believing that the Gospel of Jesus Christ still transforms lives.
